New SchoolPost features - major update released
Easy to upload a batch of reports - then the system automatically emails the appropriate parents
The latest version of SchoolPost is being rolled out during March with significant enhancements including easier secure online document delivery to parents, easy texting to parent groups directly from a teacher's mobile, and more SharePoint integration.
New features include:
Fast, secure delivery of individual documents - upload a batch of documents such as reports or assessments and the system takes care of the rest, emailing all appropriate parents with a link to follow to securely retrieve their file.
Text groups of parents directly from a mobile phone - unique new feature enables a teacher or other member of staff out on a field trip to send a text message directly to all parents of the group, from any standard mobile phone.
SharePoint Password Changer web part - new Web Part simultaneously changes a user's SharePoint (AD) and SchoolPost passwords, enabling parents to maintain 'single sign-on' details for both systems. This and the existing Latest Publications Web Part enable you to deploy SchoolPost alongside a SharePoint portal, adding messaging and alerts (emails and texts) and the ability for parents to manage their own contact details and preferences.
With these new enhancements SchoolPost provides a comprehensive, customisable solution covering all aspects of parent communication from routine letters to reports, emergency messages, surveys and consent forms. It is designed specifically to integrate with existing school systems, reading contact data and groupings from your MIS and (optionally) linking in to a SharePoint portal.
SchoolPost continues to evolve and develop based on feedback and input from schools. Please contact us if you would like further information about forthcoming developments or if you would like to discuss your school's specific needs or requirements.
