More new schools
We have been busy with more new SchoolPost launches this term inluding Bolingbroke Academy, Edgeborough School, Fairstead House, Forest School, The Glasgow Academy and RGS Worcester.
Exam results online in SchoolPost
Students at schools and colleges using SchoolPost have again been given quick easy online access to their exam results. Results are uploaded a day early with a 'go live' time of 6.00am on the official results day, then students are automatically emailed a link as soon as the results go live. As usual, schools are reporting a high proportion logging in to the collect the results within minutes.
Launches planned for September
We are pleased to have Cottesmore School, Godolphin and Latymer, Lingfield Notre Dame, St Albans High School for Girls and St Paul's School amongst those planning to launch SchoolPost in September.
Latest new SchoolPost sites
We are currently working on setting up SchoolPost with Farringtons School, Pennthorpe and Sevenoaks School.

SchoolPost and 'My School Portal'
We're working on some great new joint solutions with MSO at the moment - SchoolPost integrates nicely with their 'My School Portal'. Schools already using both include Crompton House, ESMS, Ipswich School, Lyndhurst House, Morrison's Academy, Norwich School and St Joseph's College. More to be announced soon.

We’re launching a combined communication system and staff portal for Kent Association of Special Schools (KASS) in conjunction with mso education.
Communicating with intake and prospective parents in SchoolPost
It's that time of year again when school admissions teams start to think about new pupil/parent data, and sending advance information to September's intake groups. Just as with current parents, it is easy to use SchoolPost to communicate online with prospective parents, including putting forms online and gathering their responses. In most cases it is simple for SchoolPost to read the contact details directly from your MIS with just a small change to the existing import routines - let us know if you would like details.
Latest SchoolPost release - message 'timeslots' and new rich formatting options
Rolling out from January - staff can now assign messages to pre-defined timeslots to group related information helpfully for parents, and create e-newsletters by automatically combining articles from different contributors. An update to the content editor also includes more formatting and styling options. Please contact us for further details.

SchoolPost systems not vulnerable to the 'Shellshock' bug
Our servers are not running 'Bash' so cannot be compromised by the 'Shellshock' security bug reported this week. The security of any data in a SchoolPost system is not compromised by this bug.
Latest SchoolPost release - texting students
The latest version rolling out now includes the ability to text students directly, with options for hiding their mobile numbers from staff for child protection purposes. Plus new features for adding batches of recipients - such as pasting lists of names or usernames directly into a message. Contact us for further details.
MIS integration updates
SchoolPost can now read contact data and groups automatically from SchoolManager and Arbor as well as all other common MIS systems (and some bespoke and not so common ones too - more details). We also have updated import scripts for pulling Activities and Custom Groups from iSAMS, plus prospective parents and related intake groups from most MISs.
SchoolPost sites not affected by the 'Heartbleed' SSL bug
SchoolPost websites do not use OpenSSL software so are not affected by the 'Heartbleed' security bug being widely reported in the news at the moment. The security of any data in a SchoolPost system - including account details and passwords - is not compromised in any way by this bug.

This year we are seeing an increase in the number of schools sending advance information and putting admissions forms online for September's intake groups. Batch report and assessment uploads now even easier
Publishing thousands of reports or assessments online via SchoolPost is now even easier – upload a single zip file of all your documents and the system automatically unpacks it and matches the individual files to the correct recipients. Rolling out early January.

Great parental engagement rates after recent launches
Schools which launched SchoolPost this term are seeing fantastic access rates from parents already - in some cases at least one parent contact from 97% or 98% of all families logging in within the first month. Get in touch and we will be happy to explain how or talk you through a demonstration.

Sixth formers at schools and colleges using SchoolPost have again been given quick easy online access to their A level results. Results were uploaded yesterday with a 'go live' time on the 15th, then students were automatically emailed a link as soon as the results went live.

We are delighted that Bickley Park School, Dereham Sixth Form College, Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, Lichfield Cathedral School and St George's School for Girls have chosen SchoolPost for launch this summer.
REST API and Single Sign On service
New SSO/authentication API enables SchoolPost to provide a single-sign-on service for a parent portal or other school systems. SSO service specifically for SharePoint sites to follow soon. Contact us for further details.

New SchoolPost release this month
The latest release starts rolling out next week with publication categories and new flexible recipient targeting within the 'document portal' area. Other updates include the ability to share responses and logs amongst staff accounts more easily, improvements to 'remote text' templates and more new options for reply confirmation emails.

Successful new SchoolPost launches this term include Bishop's Stortford College, Guildford High School, Morrison's Academy and Streatham & Clapham High School. Derby High School has also gone live to parents across all year groups following a successful trial to selected groups earlier in the year.
