SchoolPost News & Features

January 2012
We are seeing a steady increase in the number of text messages being sent using SchoolPost's unique remote texting feature - which enables a member of staff out on a trip to send a text from any standard mobile phone for forwarding automatically on to the appropriate parents. Ideal for notifying parents of delays or changes of plan, with no need to find an internet connection or to bother anyone at the school office!

December 2011
Two more Cambridge-based independent schools - Sancton Wood and Cambridge International School - have just launched SchoolPost to parents this week, building on the system's reputation as a leading communication system for independent schools in the region. Developments elsewhere include trials starting at schools in Peterborough and Derby.

October 2011
Work on the next release is progressing well - including a powerful new editor for fully-formatted html email newsletters with pictures, a re-designed parent mailbox including full-text searching and more reply/consent form options. More details will be published soon - contact us if you would like to know more in the meantime.

25 August 2011
GCSE results were available online from 6.00am this morning to pupils at schools using SchoolPost's easy reports and results system. Similarly to the A level results last week, schools are reporting a high proportion of students logging in to the collect the results within a matter of minutes. See how it works.

18 August 2011
Sixth formers at schools using SchoolPost have again been given quick online access to their A level results via the SchoolPost system. Results were uploaded by the schools in advance with a 'go live' time of 6.00am on the 18th, then students were automatically emailed a link as soon as the results went live. As in previous years, schools are reporting a high proportion of students logging in to the collect the results within minutes.

New version currently being rolled out to schools includes easier handling of multiple documents, and a Web service for automatically creating new messages directly from other school applications. Please contact us for a copy of the full release notes.

December 2010
SchoolPost has again proved itself to be a tremendous asset to schools affected by the weather. One simple 'publication' created by a member of staff through a web browser (easily done from home if necessary) immediately notifies parents by text, email and a notice on their SchoolPost website of any closures or changes of plan.

Many schools have also used the system to send homework and assignments to students so that they can keep up to date with their work whilst the school is closed.

August 2010
With competition for University places especially fierce this year quick access to A level results has been more important than ever. SchoolPost makes it easy for the school to upload a batch of results and set a time for them to go live - so students received an email at 6.00 am on the 19th of August containing a link to their results. One school reported that over 100 sixth formers had logged on to download their results within 15 minutes!
